Dr. Sergio Vergara specializes in pediatric dentistry and public health. He works at Talcahuano Health Service, Penco-Lirquén Hospital, and teaches at Universidad del Desarrollo. He lectures on early childhood oral health and enjoys gardening and collecting Playmobil.
Dr. Sergio Fernando Vergara Romero graduated in Dentistry from the University of Concepción, Chile in 2007 and completed a master’s degree in Public Health at Andrés Bello University in 2022. He is a specialist in Pediatric Dentistry, having graduated from the Universidad del Desarrollo in 2014, and has additional training in preventive and interceptive orthodontics, special care dentistry, and conscious sedation with nitrous oxide.
Sergio works as a Dental Health Advisor at the Talcahuano Health Service and provides specialized care at the Penco-Lirquén Hospital. He also teaches pediatric dentistry and public health at the Universidad del Desarrollo in Concepción. He frequently lectures and conducts courses on early childhood oral health and dental care for people with disabilities, sharing his expertise with dentists, healthcare teams, patients, and families.
Outside of work, Sergio enjoys spending time with his two dogs and three cats, gardening, swimming, stand-up paddle boarding, and collecting Playmobil.
