Diego is a dentist and periodontist who has been dedicated to private practice in periodontics since 2003. He has also taught at Universidad Nacional de Colombia since 2001, serving as an adjunct teacher and currently as the coordinator of the periodontics program.
Diego Sabogal graduated from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogotá, Colombia, with a dental degree in 1996 and a specialization in periodontics in 2001. He has been practicing periodontics in private practice since 2003 and has taught at the Universidad Nacional de Colombia since 2001, where he currently serves as Periodontics Coordinator.
His research focuses on the relationship between periodontal disease and smoking, and he supervises undergraduate theses on mechanical biofilm removal. Diego is also an iTOP instructor in Colombia and has presented at national conferences on periodontal preprosthetic management and biofilm removal.
He is married with two daughters and enjoys traveling throughout Colombia with his family.
