Diane Rochford qualified in 1996 at Guy’s Hospital, London. She works in private practice, lectures internationally, and writes for dental journals. She received her BSc from UCLAN in 2016 and served as BSDHT President from 2020 to 2022
Diane Rochford, BSc (Hons), Dip DH, began her career in dentistry as a dental nurse before qualifying as a dental hygienist in 1996 at Guy's Hospital, London, where she won the Hu-Friedy Scaling Award. She has worked clinically in private practice and as a staff dental hygienist at both Guy's and St Thomas' Hospitals in London.
Diane has been an invited lecturer since 2006, teaching and presenting both in the UK and internationally. She writes for journals such as Dental Health and Primary Dental Journal and runs study groups for dental hygienists and dental therapists.
She completed a BSc (Hons) in Dental Studies for Dental Care Professionals at the University of Central Lancashire (UCLAN) in 2016. Diane is an active member of the British Dental Bleaching Society, the British Society of Periodontology, and the British Society of Dental Hygiene and Therapy (BSDHT), and served as BSDHT President from 2020 to 2022.
Diane combines her clinical work with education, training dental professionals in preventive dentistry and oral hygiene techniques.
