Dr. Mauricio Merchan completed his specialization in Restorative and Cosmetic Dentistry at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Colombia and at Universidad de Cuenca in 2007, along with several other certifications.
Dr. Mauricio Merchan received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the Universidad de Cuenca, Ecuador, in 2005. He completed a specialization in Restorative and Cosmetic Dentistry at the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Colombia and at the Universidad de Cuenca in 2007. He has also pursued international certifications in Cosmetic Dentistry and Smile Design (Colombia, 2009), Implant Surgery and Rehabilitation on Implants (Ecuador, 2022), and Guided Implant Surgery (Colombia, 2023).
With over 20 years of experience, Mauricio regularly attends seminars, congresses, and webinars to stay current in his field. He has been an iTOP instructor since 2023 and a lecturer since January 2024, passionately educating patients on preventive care using iTOP philosophy techniques.
Mauricio founded Merchan Estetica Dental in Cuenca, Ecuador, in 2005, where he focuses on comprehensive oral health diagnosis and treatment, emphasizing preventive care to ensure long-term dental health for his patients.
