Dr. Chris Barker, Lead Clinician at Proactive Dental Solutions, has held key roles in the Australian Society of Periodontics, the Australian Osseointegration Society, and ITI. He practices monthly in regional Australia.

Chris Barker earned his Doctorate in Clinical Dentistry (Periodontics) in 2014. He also holds a Bachelor of Dental Surgery and a Bachelor of Science in Dentistry (First Class Honours) from the University of Adelaide (2004, 2005). In 2012, he became a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons and obtained Membership in the Specialist Dental Stream in 2022. He has completed postdoctoral training at the Swiss Dental Academy and a fellowship at the Institute for Advanced Laser Dentistry.

Dr. Barker has been actively involved in professional organisations, including the Australian Society of Periodontics (ASP), the Australian Osseointegration Society (AOS), and Implant Team Internationale (ITI). As an accomplished international lecturer, he has presented on topics such as oral health and bone preservation and has been recognised with several honorary fellowships, including from The Pierre Fauchard Academy (FPFA).

Currently, Dr. Barker serves as the Lead Clinician at Proactive Dental Solutions, a multidisciplinary specialist practice in Brisbane, while also providing specialist care in regional Australia.

Outside of his professional life, Dr. Barker enjoys spending time with his wife, three children, and their dog. He has a passion for Rugby Union and slow roasting.
