Graduate of Kagoshima University and specialist in microscope-assisted treatments at Miyazaki General Dentistry and Miyazaki Clear Orthodontics. He is also pursuing studies in Pediatric Oral Medicine at Kyushu University.
Dr. Hidenori Kokubo graduated from the Faculty of Dentistry at Kagoshima University in 1993. Following his graduation, he trained at a private dental clinic and, in 1997, established his own practice in his hometown of Miyazaki City.
Initially specializing in endodontics using microscopes, implant treatments, and aesthetic dentistry, Dr. Kokubo played a key role in introducing and promoting advanced dental technologies in Japan, including dental cone-beam CT, operating microscopes, and CAD/CAM systems. His commitment to precision and innovation has made him a respected figure in modern dental practice.
A naturally curious perfectionist, Dr. Kokubo continually seeks to expand his expertise. He later trained in pediatric and orthodontic dentistry, allowing him to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care. Since 2021, he has been actively involved in research and clinical practice in pediatric dentistry through the Graduate School of Pediatric Oral Medicine at Kyushu University’s Faculty of Dentistry.
He currently serves as Director of both the Miyazaki Comprehensive Dental Clinic and Miyazaki Clear Orthodontics Clinic. While once best known for his “Microscope Dentistry,” his focus has increasingly evolved toward “Curaprox Dentistry,” emphasizing prevention and long-term oral health.
Outside of his professional life, Dr. Kokubo enjoys traveling and flying—taking around 160 flights each year. He lives with his beloved toy poodle, Sara, who is his constant companion, though he admits the hardest part of his travels is leaving her behind.
