Dentist and Assistant Director at a private clinic in Japan. Holding a PhD in Oral Biology from Niigata University (2007), she is also an iTOP Lecturer dedicated to advancing preventive and patient-centered oral care.
Dr. Keiko Nakamura earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the Faculty of Dentistry at Niigata University, Japan, where she also obtained her dental license. She went on to complete a PhD in Oral Biology at the Niigata University Graduate School of Medical and Dental Sciences in 2007.
During her doctoral studies, Dr. Nakamura conducted pioneering research on bone tissue responses to thermal stimulation. She later expanded her research internationally through studies at the University of North Carolina (UNC) and Boston University (BU) in the United States, where she focused on gene analysis related to the causes of amelogenesis imperfecta.
Upon returning to Japan, Dr. Nakamura joined Tokyo Dental College, where she combined teaching with clinical practice, contributing to both dental education and patient care.
She currently runs her own private dental clinic in Niigata, Japan, where she continues to practice clinical dentistry with a focus on scientific precision, patient-centered care, and preventive oral health.
