Individually Trained Oral Prophylaxis – iTOP is a systematic, comprehensive, hands-on programme for daily biofilm management and patient coaching. It is a solution for the question how to keep a good oral health lifelong, excellent post-treatment care, motivate your patients and ensure dental treatment success.
iTOP Educator is a four-day seminar, designed specifically for dental professionals who wish to become a part of local iTOP team as iTOP Instructors or wish to master Biofilm Control techniques and tools.
The condition for participation at iTOP Educator is successful completion of iTOP Introductory and iTOP Advanced seminar level.
The seminar will be held in English language.
Learning Objectives
The seminar has theoretical and practical sessions. Lectures are combined with discussions on clinical cases and implementation strategy. Practical sessions are with Touch to Teach (T2T) approach. Participants will train their skills in instructing techniques, in several 1:2 training sessions with well-trained international instructors, covering challenges and opportunities in patient-oriented dentistry.
Participation on both lecture and T2T are mandatory to successfully finish iTOP Educator seminar.
Beside the official seminar schedule, participants also have the possibility to discover the city on their own and network during dinners.

Mário Rui AraújoProf DrProf., M. Psych, BSD Mário Rui has done his PhD in Psychology (2021) in the University of Lisbon (Psychology School) and a master degree in Health . He is an adjunct Teacher at Portalegre Health School and a Guest-Teacher at University of Copenhagen, Denmark. As well as iTOP Lecturer since 2018. -
Lucie SedelmayerMUDrMUDr Lucie Sedelmayer graduated 1990 at Charles University, Prague. She is the iTOP Chief Instructor since 2000 and Teacher of Preventive dentistry at Charles University. MUDr Lucie Sedelmayer is one of the founders of Czech preventive association and was elected its president in April 2023. -
Dóra TihanyiDrDr. Dóra Tihanyi is a Guest-Lecturer at Semmelweis University in Hungary and Head of Periodontist at a private clinic, Denteam Dental. She is international iTOP Lecturer since 2010. -
Camelia RomanDrDr. Camelia Roman has graduated Faculty of Dental Medicine (2014) in the Iuliu Hatieganu University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. She is practicing general dentistry, but with a lot of interest in prevention regarding children. -
Fabio AngeliniDott, IdDott. Id. Fabio Angelini graduated 2013 with honors in Dental Hygiene (D.M. 509) at the Odontological Clinic of the Department of Biomedical and Neuro-Motory Sciences (DIBINEM). He works for many years as a Dental Hygienist and since 2018 he is iTOP Lecturer. -
Franka Baranovic-HuberDrDr. Franka Baranovic Huber, dentist and international iTOP lecturer since 2009, trains professionals worldwide. She completed her doctorate on interdental brushes in 2017 and holds a hypnosis certification from IFHE Paris (2020–2022). -
Roberta CimarossaDott ssaRoberta Cimarossa graduated in Dental Hygiene from the University of Bologna in 2012. In 2020, she completed a specialist master's in "Oral Health Management in Patients with Special Needs" at Sapienza University, Rome. She partners with non-profits to promote dental health for mothers and children. -
Talia KunRDHTalia Kun is a certified dental hygienist HF and iTOP Lecturer from Basel, Switzerland. With a background as a dental technician (EFZ) and several years of clinical experience, she combines prevention, research, and education to empower both patients and professionals through evidence-based practice
