The Most Important Tool in Your Dental Office

This on-demand webinar can be watched at your convenience. We live in a world where the questions may remain the same, but the answers have changed. What once led to success may no longer be effective, and if we want different results, we must begin doing different things.

Endodontics are fundamentally about cleaning and shaping. But on a broader level, shaping extends far beyond root canals—it also involves reshaping our mindset, breaking old habits, and letting go of approaches that no longer serve us. This webinar explored both the philosophical and practical conflicts found in endodontics and examined how they apply to dentistry as a whole.

The session opened with a discussion on conflict, addressing themes such as “The Best System in the World,” the tendency to judge based on X-rays, the misleading promise of “ten easy steps,” and the influence of online popularity contests, humorously referred to as the “University of Facebook.”

It then moved into the realities of modern practice, touching on the pressures of the professional rat race and contrasting them with reflections on happiness and balance, inspired by the world’s happiest nations.

Finally, the webinar examined the tools that truly matter in endodontics and in clinical practice more broadly. Through insights referencing Iceland, Aldous Huxley, and the importance of constant adjustments, the session encouraged clinicians to rethink not just their instrumentation, but their entire approach to treatment and decision-making.
