Ivan graduated dentistry at School of Dental Medicine in Zagreb, Croatia in 2016. Since then, he works as a dentist in a private practice.

He has written a children’s book ”Adrian and the broken promise” in which he talks about the importance of teeth brushing through a fairy tale story and tries to act against the public health problem, the fear of the dentist.

He loves to spend his free time in nature and doing sports. His passion is aerial silks.

Dr.med.dent. Sandra Petaros Sikirić graduated in 2015. from the School of Dental Medicine, University of Zagreb. Since then she worked in 2 private practices and in 2020 she opened her own private practice - S Dental, where she is very involved in motivating patients for prevention and good oral hygiene. She has been working as an iTOP instructor since 2013 and as an iTOP lecturer from 2022.

Andrew Terry is a Senior Lecturer working for the Faculty of Medicine and Health, School of Dentistry. He has worked with both the Bachelor of Oral Health (BOH) and the Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) programs since August 2015.

He is responsible primarily for the education of Periodontal instrumentation/screening and Oral Hygiene instruction education for both the BOH1 and DMD1&2-year levels. He supervises clinical practice of the initial Clinical Periodontal treatment provided by DMD2 students. From 2016 to 2019 he was a Unit of Study Co-Ordinator for the BOH1 student subject OHRL1102/1202. He is responsible also for the education/appointment and calibration of Clinical Educators for BOH1 and DMD1&2 Periodontic departments. He is a member of the Pride Network at The University of Sydney and is the School of Dentistry LGBTIAQ+ student liaison officer. He was appointed as the School of Dentistry Academic Simulation Clinic Coordinator at the end of 2019 and remains in this role as a consultant. From 2023 he was appointed a coordinator for the Unit of study SDDM5215 in the second year of the Dentistry Program.

He has approximately 30 years’ clinical experience first qualifying as a Dental Therapist in QLD, Australia in 1993 and then as a Dental Hygienist in London, U.K in 1998. He ratified his Australian and U.K education in Switzerland with the Swiss red cross and attained the protected title of “Dip. Dental Hygienist of Higher Education”. He completed his master’s in education in 2019 and was accepted as a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy in 2021. He has worked in Townsville, Brisbane, London, and Zurich. He has been based in Sydney since 2007.

He has completed his Bachelor of Dental Surgery course (BDS) from Government Dental College and Research Institute (GDCRI), Bengaluru, India in the year 2018. He was awarded as ‘Best Outgoing Student’ during graduation ceremony at GDCRI. He has been an enthusiastic participant in yearly dental conferences conducted by various organizations.

Dr Ashwin began his journey with iTOP since year 2017 by attending iTOP Introductory and iTOP Advanced courses and iTOP Educator course in 2022. He has experience as serving as an iTOP Instructor  and has been part of numerous iTOP courses in India. Further, he pursued Master of Dental Surgery course in Periodontics and successfully completed the course in 2022. During his post graduate studies, he has been keen on taking up several research projects pertaining to preventive dentistry including compliance of patients on using interdental brushes using the concept of iTOP and efficiency of enzymatic toothpastes for patients with gingivitis.

Dr Ashwin published a book on Periodontal Dressing. In addition, he has authored a book on managing dental emergencies. All through his education and professional phase, he has keenly involved in research and currently has around 24 scientific publications to his credit.

Currently he is working as Education Consultant at Curaden India, coordinating and conducting various events across India.

Dr. Gajanan Tar has a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (1994) from Goa University, India. He is a private practitioner for 25 years and owns a multidisciplinary dental center. His keen interest is in concepts of minimally intervention dentistry. He has set up multiple CBCT centers across the state of Goa.

He is a member of Indian Association of Dental Traumatology (ISDT) and has received training in management of dental trauma conservatively from AIIMS,Delhi. Dr. Gajanan has been trained for behavior management in tobacco eradication programme from National Institute of Mental health and Neuroscience  (NIMHANS), Bengaluru.   

He obtained training in Nitrous oxide sedation from Indian Dental Association, Mumbai and SS College of Dental Surgery, Hyderabad. He is a active member of Indian Dental Association, (Goa Branch) and Goa Private Dental Practitioner’s Association. 

Beatriz is graduated in Dentistry at the Universidad Europea de Madrid in 2015. She began specializing in Oral Medicine at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid in 2016, and subsequently completed a two-year Master's program in Periodontology at the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos in 2019.

In 2023 she completed a program as an expert in breastfeeding counseling and advising for healthcare professionals. Since then, she has been furthering her education in pediatric dentistry, particularly focusing on baby dentistry.

Currently, she balances her professional practice in a private clinic with her work in education, providing training in preventive dentistry and periodontology to both dental hygienists and dentists.

Thomas graduated in 2020 at Slovak Medical University in Bratislava as Medicinae Dentium Doctor.

Since then he works as general dentist at dental clinic in Olomouc, Czech republic. As part of highly specialised team is Thomas focusing mainly on surgery and periodontology, what is closely related to the dental hygiene, which is he leading at the clinic. Also his attention lies on developing of digital dentistry.

Since the beginning of his studies he has been part of preventive programs of Curaden Slovakia, what in time led him to the Dr. Jiri Sedelmayer's lectures and iTOP family of which he is a member already 6 years.

In the free time his biggest pleasure is traveling and enjoying driving everything on four wheels.

Thuy graduated as a dental hygienist from the School of Oral Health Care in Copenhagen in 2009. She founded DH Talks in 2019, a network focusing on dental hygienists as professionals. Her vision is to empower dental hygienists through inspiring and engaging continuing education seminars.

As a practice owner, she emphasizes patient education and sustainable preventive dentistry, having discovered her niche in this field. She is a Swiss Dental Academy GBT trainer, iTOP instructor, and advisory board member for the online continuing education platform Dentakurser.

Thuy has a keen interest in entrepreneurship and personal development. Originally from Vietnam, has called Copenhagen, Denmark, home since 1989. A devoted mom, wife, food lover, and enthusiast of leisurely walks.

Andreé Cáceres La Torre, DDS, MSc, Specialist in Periodontics & Oral Implantology

Andreé has a master’s degree in Periodontology (2010) by Universidad de San Martín de Porres and a Specialty in Periodontology & Oral Implantology (2014 - 2016). He also has a postgraduate degree in Health Services Management (2015) by Universidad San Ignacio de Loyola.

He is graduate of the Dental School at Universidad de San Martín de Porres (2007) and since then he became interested in education and research in the field of periodontology. He is author of several scientific papers published in international journals.

He is also International Team for Implantology (ITI) Member, Fellow, and Active Speaker. He has delivered numerous guest lectures in various scientific events. He is Director of the Master in Periodontology Program at Universidad de San Martín de Porres and Postgraduate professor in Periodontics and Dental Implants at Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas.

He lives in Lima, Perú where he also works as a Specialist in Periodontics and Oral Implantology in his private practice. 

Sergio obtained the degree of Dentist (2007) from the University of Concepción, Chile, and has a master's degree in Public Health (2022) from the Andrés Bello University.

He is a specialist in Pediatric Dentistry (2014) from the Universidad del Desarrollo, with additional training in preventive and interceptive orthodontics, special care dentistry and conscious sedation with nitrous oxide.

Sergio divides his workday between being a Dental health advisor at the Talcahuano Health Service and providing special dental care to patients who require it at the Penco-Lirquén Hospital. In addition to this, he manages to work as a pediatric dentist and public health teacher at the Universidad del Desarrollo, Concepción. Dr. Vergara periodically gives talks and courses on oral health in early childhood and dental care for people with disabilities, aimed at dentists, health teams, patients and their families.

In his free time, Sergio enjoys spending time with his two dogs and three cats, gardening, swimming, practice stand up paddle, and collecting Playmobil.

Rony Christian graduated from the Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia (1990-1996) with a Bachelor's degree in Stomatology, then completed a first master's degree in Research and Teaching (Universidad Nacional Federico Villarreal, in 2002). Later he completed a professional Master's Degree in Oral Rehabilitation (2020) from the Scientific University of the South and previously a specialty in Aesthetic and Restorative Dentistry (2012) at the same University.

Additionally, Rony Christian is passionate about a second specialized area of dentistry, he has studied at the Peruvian Association Athenaeum of Maxillary Orthopedics and Orthodontics, Lima-Peru, 2002-2004, Specialization Course in Orthopedics and Fixed Orthodontics, and at Cruzeiro du Sul University (Brazil) (2011), achieving a Diploma in Bioprogressive Orthodontics

He works two days a week as a contracted Professor of the second Specialty Program in Oral Rehabilitation, of the universities: Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas (UPC) and Particular San Juan Bautista (UPSJB). He lives in Lima, Peru, where he also has a private training center: Dental Studio Perú, where he teaches courses year-round since 2017.

He is also a national and international speaker on topics related to his specialty, having given numerous guest lectures in various countries around the world and in virtually all major cities of his native country.

He is a clinical director of a dental center in the capital, where he works with other specialist colleagues, performing transdisciplinary dentistry. His areas of clinical dedication focus on restorative-aesthetic dentistry and oral rehabilitation essentially. where he dedicates himself four days a week to his patients.

He has a youngest son (6 years old) and he paints in watercolor to relax and produce artistic works.

Erika has DDS (2018) by the University of Costa Rica (Dental school). She is an active member of the College of Dental Surgeons of Costa Rica (Colegio de Cirujanos Dentistas de Costa Rica CCDCR).

She is a lover and faithful believer in prevention. She enjoys teaching and empowering her patients with oral health tips.

She has participated in several volunteer projects in her country, helping populations, such as indigenous population from distant places with little to no access to health services.

She has 5 years of private clinical practice in different clinics, currently she has 3 years of working at EDENTAL clinic in Alajuela.

In addition, she completed her iTOP Introductory in January 2023 in Costa Rica, and also participated in the iTOP Educator in March 2023, also in Costa Rica.

She shares the ideology that the key to oral health is education and prevention, for this reason she enjoys being able to contribute her experience and knowledge with others.

She is a wife and mother of a dog, she really enjoys her family time, and the beach is her favorite place.
