Nacido en Cali, Colombia el dia 21 de Enero de 1970. Graduado de Oodntologo en el año 1994 de la Universidad el Valle, desde el año 1995 hasta el dia de hoy es docente de la Universidad del Valle, desde el 2009 es profesor nombrado, actualmente en categoria de asistente. Coordinador del area de Biomateriales y operatoria desde el 2006 de la Univer-sidad del Valle. Desde el 2007 hasta el dia de hoy dirige el Posgrado de Rehabilitacion Oral de la Universidad del Valle. Se graduo como Administrador en Salud de la Universi-dad Javeriana de Cali en el año 2000 y de Rehabilitador Oral de la Universidada Militar Nueva Granadade Bogota en el 2006.

Dr. Cristina Rizea graduated the Dental Faculty of Carol Davila University in Bucharest in 2011. She then pursued a 3 years Residency Program in Prosthetic Dentistry and a 3 years PhD Program in the field of Removable Dentures and Implant Overdentures. In the period 2013-2015 she taught clinical classes for 5th year dental students in the Removable Dentures Department of Carol Davila University. Since 2018 Cristina is the lecturer of the Prosthetics-Orthodontics Collaboration module for the Orthodontics Master of Universidad de Extremadura, Malaga, Spain.

She has lectured in various countries and events on dental prosthetics, career orientation in dentistry, as well as dental volunteering topics.

Professor David Williams (DW) is Head of the Oral and Biomedical Sciences research theme in the School of Dentistry at Cardiff University. DW is also a principle investigator within the Microbial Diseases Research Group, where his studies primarily focus on microbial biofilms and their association with human infection. Over 65% of hospital infections have a biofilm origin and the treatment of these infections is highly problematic given their high resistance to antimicrobials. As such, biofilm research is extremely important and also timely, given global concerns over the emergence of antimicrobial resistance (AMR). To facilitate his research, DW has expertise in biofilm modelling, profiling microbial communities and analysis of microbial gene expression. Ongoing research projects involve the study of the oral microbiome and its relationship with cardiovascular health, assessing how the biofilm environment modulates behavior and virulence of associated opportunistic pathogens, and how oral biofilms may contribute to respiratory infections.
