Athletes are prone to oral diseases like periodontal diseases and caries due to their lifestyle, diet and stress. Maintenance of plaque free oral cavity can aid in good oral health, which has positive effect on athletic performance as well. This event is part of Fellowship in Sports Dentistry organised jointly by Indian Academy of Sports Dentistry and Indian Dental Association.
