Legacy and passion for perfect oral health

MUDr. Jiří Sedelmayer graduated from the University of Hamburg in 1986. He spent 25 years teaching and researching at the Department of Conservative Dentistry and Periodontology at UKE Hamburg.

His research showed that unlike other areas of dentistry, prevention doesn’t have clearly defined principles and criteria on which proper biofilm management is based. For him, this was a sign. He decided to develop a unique teaching method, based on clear criteria and empirical data, which became iTOP in 2006.

Dr. Sedelmayer's has led over 1,100 training seminars and courses and his methods have been taught internationally. His legacy and passion for perfect oral health lives on in each and every iTOP advocate, lecturer and instructor.
